Melissa Lonebear
Melissa Lonebear, a proud member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe, is a dedicated leader and advocate from Lame Deer, Montana. She serves as a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribal Council, representing the Lame Deer District. In this role, she works tirelessly to uplift her community and address critical issues impacting the Northern Cheyenne people.
Melissa also represents the Northern Cheyenne Tribe on Montana's State-Tribal Economic Development (STED) Commission, where she collaborates with state and tribal entities to foster economic growth and opportunity for her community.
For over 12 years, Melissa has been a tireless advocate for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples (MMIP), serving on the front lines of grassroots efforts to bring justice, awareness, and resources to affected families. In addition to her work in MMIP advocacy, she is a staunch supporter of youth development, reflecting her deep dedication to improving the well-being and future of the Northern Cheyenne people.
